Mix the ingredients for the shawarma seasoning in a bowl and set this aside.
Cut the chicken into strips and mix with 2 tbsp shawarma spices, 1 tbsp oil and salt to taste. Let this marinate in the refrigerator for half an hour or more.
While the chicken is marinating, you can prepare your raw vegetables and garlic sauce. Cut the cucumber and tomato into slices / cubes. Then add some finely chopped onion and season with salt & pepper or a salad dressing. For the garlic sauce, mix all ingredients in a bowl and season with salt & pepper.
When the chicken has marinated, heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and stir-fry the chicken shawarma for 10 minutes, until cooked through.
Meanwhile, toast the pita bread according to the instructions on the package or make my Homemade Flatbread w/ Yoghurt (Easy Recipe!). Then divide the lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion mix and the garlic sauce over bowls. Put the chicken shawarma on the table and let everyone fill their own pita or flatbread. Enjoy your meal!TIP:- Fancy a different sauce? Then try Hummus with your shawarma! If you make my recipes, please tag me in them and use #thespicedchickpearecipes. I'd love to see what you've made.
