Grate the onion and potato. Then queeze out the excess moisture and place the lot in a bowl.
Add the flour, egg and seasoning to the bowl and mix well.
Divide the mixture into the desired quantities and fry in two or four batches. I did this in a bit of oil on some medium heat and it took me about 8-10 minutes*N.B: Let the Latke fry undisturbed for 3-5 minutes on medium heat before you flip them over and continue to cook further.
