In the 2020 there were a lot of foodtrends going around. One of the trends that caught my attention was Dalgona Coffee, a Korean trend where you whip instant coffee with sugar and add as topper on (iced) milk. I was so intrigued by this trend and because it was lockdown I had lots of time to try it out!
A while ago I was looking for a cooking studio where I could record my first cooking video. I found several places on Google, but I was looking for an atmospheric place near me. That’s how I ended up at MY Horeca Events. I called the number and got Youri on the phone. He suggested that I came and see the kitchen. And the rest was history. And then your Onigirazu (Sushi Sandwich) w/ Jackfruit & Sambal Oelek (Vegetarian) is featured in a Japanese Women’s & Fashion magazine named Oggi! Super proud to be seen amongst the finest sushi sandwiches and though I haven’t travelled in two years now, am happy to see my company is ❤️
On the 20th of November, The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries Malaysia (supported by the Embassy of Malaysia in The Hague, Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE)) invited me to the The Taste of Malaysia at Amazing Oriental Den Haag – Ypenburg. This event was held at an Asian store where you can find many Malaysian curry pastes, spices, drinks and of course much more.
On the 25th of September, I was invited by The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries Malaysia (supported by the Embassy of Malaysia in The Hague, Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE)) to attend the Malaysian Food & Fruits event at Wah Nam Hong (an Asian supermarket at The Westfield Mall). Unlike last year (when the event went online due to the Pandemic), I was lucky to attend this live event. When the New York Post tagged me in their article: “Avocado Roses are food-lovers latest dopey trend”, it took me almost 2 years to discover this…Why? Well, because this Chickpea wasn’t that serious about checking tags or anything back then…*facepalm*
