Chicken Shawarma w/ a Homemade Spice Blend & Garlic Sauce!

I love spicy dishes myself and chicken shawarma is definitely a favorite. My mother made it for us and that was always a treat. She served it with a salad mix, cucumber, tomato, garlic sauce, and crunchy pita breads. This way everyone could get started with their own sandwich. Nowadays, I make my own shawarma spices, flatbread and creamy garlic sauce. Make it yourself too and enjoy this Middle Eastern meal with your family or friends!

Creamy Spinach Pasta w/ Garlic & Burrata

Whenever I buy a bag of spinach leaves, it reminds me of Popeye and him lecturing us to eat our spinach. You must understand that after seeing this cartoon, Mom would also give us a lecture on eating our veggies: “You wanna be as strong as Popey?” She knew I never liked spinach…hahah So, most of the time I just swallowed it so I didn’t have to taste it. Fast forward to now, I learned to eat it, appreciate the texture and actually enjoy it in a salad the most. But if I cook it, it goes in a pasta or Indian dal. This time I’m sharing my Creamy Spinach Pasta w/ Garlic & Burrata The richness of the sauce goes well with these wilted green leaves and actually balances out the creamy sauce. In my opinion it’s the best way to eat these greenies!

Turkish Style Chicken Meatballs w/ Spiced Yoghurt

Cilbir is a popular Turkish breakfast recipe which includes eggs and a spiced yoghurt made with garlic and chili oil. I already have a Cilbir recipe on my blog and served it on toast. This time, I’m switching it up and using chicken meatballs (instead of eggs) which are seasoned with homemade Turkish spices and serve them on that lush yoghurt sauce. These meatballs are a very easy and delicious midweek/weekend meal! So, let’s gooo 😉
