Surinamese Dawet (without Cornstarch)
This refreshing pink drink from the Javanese kitchen might just be one of my favorite drinks from Surinamese cuisine. It’s made with Sereh (Lemongrass), coconut milk, cola and/or Dawet essence, and cornstarch. I usually leave the cornstarch out, but if you like it, feel free to add it in. In any case, this is the perfect drink for summer!
