
Surinamese Style Canned Sardines on Toast
Ingredients
- 1 can of white sardines by Morjon / Brunswick
- 2 shallots / 1 small white onion finely chopped
- ½ Madame Jeanette pepper finely chopped, optional
- ½ tsp lemon juice
- salt & black pepper to taste / a Maggie cube (a little bit) a little bit
Instructions
- Cut the sardines in half and remove the fishbones. Then place them in a bowl.
- Finely chop up the white onion / shallots + the Madame Jeanette pepper and add them to the sardines.
- Season with some garlic powder (optional), salt and black pepper to taste. I also like to squeeze some lemon juice over de sardines.
